Things Have Changed

A few things have changed.

One, the case I'm working on got delayed. I don't know for how long but it means that I won't be in Chicago any time soon.

Two, one of my dearest friends, Kris, married some guy named Eric. (Haha! Just kidding, E.) The wedding was beautiful and an emotional roller coaster. I returned to New York physically and emotionally exhausted. I had such a good time.

Here's a photo my friend took. I'm the second bridesmaid.

Third, it's finally autumn in New York. Don't miss out. It only comes once a year.

Random Ramblings

I went on vacation again. This time, it was less of a break and more of a chance to mentally prepare myself for what's coming up - an excruciating trial in October. (Side note - anyone gonna be in Chicago in October? I'll be there, probably for the whole month.)

T and I went to Cape May in New Jersey. We were the only people there between the ages of 20 and 35. It was awesome in a geriatric kind of way. Here are some photos.

Here's me freaking out because T jumped out of the bicycle to take the photo and even though I have a steering wheel, it doesn't actually work.

All the homes there are in this style and coloring. They're called "Painted Ladies." Ooh-la-la.

So some other random ramblings. I found this new group called "Anoraak" and they are awesome. They are definitely riding the 80s wave but they have a distinctly modern sound. Check out their MySpace, please.

I also recently watched a great movie called "Manhattan." It's an old Woody Allen flick about Manhattan when it was simultaneously most cool and affordable. It also stars the heartbreakingly fragile Mariel Hemingway, who is definitely not a conventional beauty but still radiates an irresistible charm. The movie is basically Woody Allen's love letter to Manhattan and it makes the city seem like the best place you could possibly be.

The other day, T and I did our usual New York thing, which is we leave the house and just wander around the city. We usually have a destination but if you know anything about T, it is that distractions are not far behind. So on our way to the Chelsea Flea Market, we ran into this random outdoor flea market.

Can you play "Where's T?"

Good God, people. If you haven't made it to NYC yet to visit, DO IT. You can stay with me.
